Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
Slidebone Johnny (John L.) :
Is celebrating in 2009 his 40th year as a songwriter.
Currently finishing a new CD
of accoustic blues originals,
soon to be released in 2010,
he is also finishing a blues/rock
electric band CD
with a stellar group of veterans from the N.E.Oklahoma area.
Rehearsals are underway
to play the spring-thru-fall festival season
and shows in 2010.
As a seasoned veteran of many midwest bands,
John has played all kinds of music
(folk, country, bluegrass, blues, rock, annd R&B),
and is doing production in his new digital studio.
All of the upcoming releases will be
"Close to the Roots".
Slidebone Johnny is being helped by close friends
and accomplished musicians such as:
Steve Corbett (harmonica),
John Hoff (drums),
Monty Gaylord (fiddle),
and other top-notch players.
Besides doing the engineering production,
John sings lead and harmony vocals,
and plays accoustic and electric guitars,
bass, mandolin, banjo, keyboards,
and a variety of slide instruments;
dobro, National steels, electric slide guitar,
and pedal and lap steels.
Slidebone Johnny and Steve Corbett
will be performing at the upcoming
International Blues Contest
Jan. 20-24. 2010 in Memphis TN
and are proud to represent the
Tulsa,Ok. Blues Society this year...
